History: of Our Homestead on the Cumberland Plateau

the House :

Built in early1950's, and revised quite a few times since. We plan on a few revisions of our own.

the Pond :

Built in the mid 90's over a ravine that had sping near the bottom of it

the Gazebo :

Sits over the pond, built in the mid 90's and has had 3 weddings performed on it. Plus another wedding over by the waterfall.

the Fish Fry :

Known as the Lawson fish fry, it was a event done by and for the membership of the Pine Grove Church of God of Prophecy. Started in early 60's and lasted until the mid 80's, upwards to 1,500 people would attend. As with any gathering of large amounts of people, it becomes a political opporttunity. Al Gore Sr. and Al Gore Jr. along with Annabell O'Brien have reportively paid a visited to these fish fries over those years.
